After being off the road for almost 10 years it was decided to get the Elan back on the road with a shiny new respray, but what colour? I has seen an Elan bodyshell restored by SMS years ago and I remember thinking then that it was probably better than the original factory finish.
Being a Sprint the Elan started life with a two tone colour scheme, regency red over white but was then resprayed by one of it's many previous owners black over white. The Elan had 7 different owners in ten years before I bought the it and I have owned the car for 24 years!!
